It is unfortunate that in a 100 years from now history will judge Bush like it has judged Lincoln.
Lincoln being the freer of slaves, the one that gave liberty to those that needed it most.
In reality this is not the case Lincoln was the Bush of the 19th century.
To begin with, he suspended civil liberties just like Bush, Habeus Corpus, and in some cases went even further such as removing freedom of press.
But surely he freed thousands of people, right? Correct, but it is the way he went about doing so. 600,000 American lives lost, billions of dollars spent, destruction of cities, famines & epidemics.
Was this an acceptable price to pay? What if he could have paid a much smaller price? In Europe, slaves were bought from their owners, no expenditures, no inflation and most importantly no pain.
Would it have been too much to ask Lincoln to consult with his European allies as to how they had achieved this enormous feat.
Instead he chose to become a warmonger and tyrant. However, after almost 140 years, we look back at him as a great a man, a true president. On average, he would probably rated as the best president the US has ever had, if done on a survey of the population.
In fact, the decisions he made were catastrophic in light of the other available options.
I can't help but bear to think that George W Bush will be treated with the same love in 100 years.

The people have spoken
By judging from the past few weeks, it is clear that we the British people have spoken.
We have made sure that, no longer, we shall fear the government. But from now the government is to fear us. It is to work for us, and not in the interest of the few.
I congratulate you all, for what has been achieved in the past few weeks, it is quite simply, revolutionary.
We have shown to all the world, what people with will, people with power can do.
I hope we continue to challenge, to question our current and future governments. I hope we continue to be patriots. Only then, will superior progress be brought to us.

What Subject am I Talking About?
This is the end of the world as we know it. For it is up to each one of us as individuals to decide our own fates. We must not ponder no longer as to what to do, what to make and where to go. As a collective and as an individual I must move. I must strive for the change I wish to see in the world. If we do not act immediately, we may as well not act at all.
But how should we act without a clear definition of what our actions must consist of? Through our hearts and souls. We are born with the fundamental ability to tell from which action distinguishes bad from good. It is a human right for us as individuals to choose. I urge everyone of you to see what we can do now.
Any action taken now will result great perpetual advances in the future, we will bring progress whilst striving for a purer form of life. I have the audacity to change, to improve, to challenge common thoughts. I urge for all of you to not only think outside the box, but outside the walls that surround the box. Through this form of thinking each and everyone of you will reap the rewards of humanity in the times to come.
Disaster, would be a word heavily used, yet it would coincidentally be a understatement, if nothing is done. I foresee a lack of action, due to lackluster leadership, management, education and selfishness. In my heart I know that each one of you has the power to encompass these skills, for we are a civilization that is unlike any other. We are not merely intelligent, clever and skillful. We are a higher state of being, we can learn at a speed like no other before us. It is therefore up to us to innovate change and challenge using the skills that our forefathers taught us. Lead, manage and educate yourselves but do not be selfish. It is in our nature to be loving, caring and of course to share. Share and innovate your skills with the man and women next to you.
All I want at this moment is simple. I would like us to solve this problem. I would like us to destroy this problem, I wish like many of you, to never see it again.

Torture of 9/11 bombers on 9/10 - For the Anti-Torture person inside of you.
My brain has been in a state of excellent confusion by the question I am about to pose upon yourselves. This rebellious thought came in a period of energetic activity which is known as "jogging".
Before I begin to ask you this question. I would like for you to know a few things.
Currently I am in my usual disposition, as I wallow in idolatry. For me common sense indicates that torture is wrong.
Can we pretend that a day before 9/11, 9/10, in a propitious moment, one of the 9/11 bombers had been caught.
Would it be a passion of patriotism to torture this person? To seek the truth of the events that are planned to unfold the following day. To save countless lives by doing so.
For the purposes of this question; you reluctanctly have no choice, torture and save or stick with your principles and watch thousands die for their crime of helpless innocence.
To torture or not to torture, for that is the cold question.

No bankrupting Universal healthcare. It will most definetly cost more than Iraq, and increase government in markets, they will have to print more money to fund healthcare when the boomers start retiring in masses, more inflation, more pain for the little guy.
Once you have universal healthcare it is hard to go back to market based systems, because the baby boomers will never let it happen so as long as they control the majority of the vote.
He hopes to be finished with Iraq by 2013, I can cope with that, I would like it to be earlier but its a compromise.
He wants to get help pakistan get rid of the training grounds in their tribal areas. (in my opinion this is a very important issue, India receives a lot of terrorist attacks from people who are trained in these areas. And nutjobs from the UK go there for training.
I know he is pro-torture, but being tortured himself, I can only respect his decision and I can't really criticise him as his first hand experience will trump my 2nd hand experience.
He makes slurs to his wife, doesn't keep in touch with people in vietnam, he visits dying democrats and old friends in hospitals.
But I couldn't care what he does with his personal life and it is none of my business. All I care about is that he is a good leader and he has policies which are in the long term interest of his country.
At the moment he is fulfilling my self-interest, and my self-interest is that America remain strong and not have fiscal liabilities which she cannot afford.
At the end of the day I think Obama is an amazing candidate and he is truly the change which America needs. But to me he is inaccessible simply due to the nature of the long term liabilities in his policies.
However, I understand, if McCain does not fulfil your self-interests as your concerns may lie elsewhere.
